This week in our FYS , we took a quiz that gives us a few career options based on our interests. I thought I would see the same old results I always see, such as music teacher or performer. However, this time, one of my top best fits was being a music therapist. I never thought to look into that career option, but I would like to explore it more. This sounds like a good fit for me. I’m still a freshman and I’m still trying to figure everything out in regards to my future. This activity has exposed me to even more career options!
We also looked at a couple examples of successful cover letters. I enjoyed the two that we read because they were really good examples that showed personality and were short and sweet at the same time. I will be refferring back to them when writing my own cover letter for Thursday.
Overall, I would rate this week’s classes a 9/10. I enjoyed the activities we did and I really liked getting to interact with the material we were learning by writing down a list of key tips to use when writing a cover letter with my fellow classmates.
